If nothing else my experience of "the 23 things" has erased any concerns that I might have had that I am missing out on the many wonders that modern day electronic technology can provide.
That's not to say that I don't greatly appreciate the internet... Email and googleing and various cherished websites provide me with so much "at my fingertips" in the comfort of my home... I easily spend an hour every morning doing whatever comes to mind... it is both informative and entertaining... But enough is enough... To put it simply,.. I have better things to do...

voila
Well my blog finally showed up (just in the nick of time) thanks to help from Caryl and Jennifer. That was encouraging and now I have put some pictures on flickr and there are no excuses now,.. though it still is a matter of finding the time.
I have been wondering how it is that everybody at the library is keeping abreast of all these 23 things. (I am lucky to have done 3 or 4 of them).. I figured out that the people with a 40 hour work week are doing it at work.. When I am at the library I don't have much time for anything other than the work... At home there is so much to do with the boys, and the tenants, and my father (afflicted with Alzheimer's) and the planting and pruning and mowing . The irony of it all is that I "work" part-time (20 hours) but that leaves me with the thought (or perhaps the delusion) that I can have a life outside of "work". Frankly I don't see how people who work 40 hours can do anything other than work,.. or recuperate from work... (I think that Obama should push to make for a 30 hour/week national standard as a way to help the financial trouble in which our country is in. So many benefits to be had... Perhaps even move to a twenty hour week... As they say "why this great haste to suceed ,., and under such desperate circumstances???
